Spirituality , a broad concept that deals with seeking meaning and purpose in one’s life it has different interpretations and practices across cultures and religions. Involves a sense of connection to something greater than oneself, ie.the divine. This can manifest in various ways, such as through religious beliefs, meditation, yoga ,contemplation of nature, or engagement with people and social causes. A deeply personal and subjective experience, that people explore in different ways throughout their lives.Spirituality and existentialism can intersect in several ways, despite their different approaches in understanding the meaning of life. While spirituality often finds meaning in connection to a higher power or transcendent reality, existentialism emphasizes individual responsibility in creating meaning in a potentially meaningless universe.Existentialism emphasizes the freedom of individuals to make choices and create their own meaning. Similarly, spirituality often emphasizes the importance of personal agency and the choices individuals make in their spiritual journey , and somewhere asserts concepts like Predestiny , where everything is written and planned by the divine itself, although deals with aspects of good karma and bad karma highlighting the freedom of individual to make choices and form their own lives. Both spiritual and existential traditions place value on authenticity and living in accordance with one’s true self. Existentialism emphasizes the importance of living authentically in the face of societal pressures and expectations, while spirituality often involves a journey of self-discovery and alignment with one’s spiritual values.Both ,spirituality and existentialism often involve the development of ethical and moral values. .Overall, while spirituality and existentialism approach questions of meaning and existence from different angles, they share common themes and can complement each other in providing individuals with frameworks for understanding and navigating the complexities of life , teaches us a way to live life in a healthy and balanced way.
